EuroLeague has 18 teams, none of which usually undergoes relegation. Some of the teams have been in the league for all seasons from when it started. Others joined the league a lot later. Judging which teams are the best performing based on the number of titles won might thus not be a fair assessment, but it is worth noting them either way. Fifteen of the teams have participated in EuroLeague’s biggest annual fiesta at least once, with only eight having won the trophy.
Panathinaikos
Panathinaikos ranks at the top of the most titles won list. The team has four titles and is followed closely by Maccabi Tel Aviv and CSKA Moscow, each of which has three titles. Barcelona and Olympiacos have two titles each. The other teams that have ever won a trophy in the club competition are Real Madrid, Virtus Bologna, and Fernerbache.
Fenerbahce
Regarding the Final Four only, Panathinaikos is the most successful team in the modern era of EuroLeague. In only six appearances, the team has won the trophy four times. The team also boasts of a perfect Finals record of four wins out of the four games played.
CSKA Moscow
When considering the overall number of Final Four appearances, CSKA Moscow tops the list and is regarded as the most successful team. They have appeared in the Final Four 14 times, which is twice as many times as Barcelona and Maccabi Tel Aviv, the teams that rank at the second position. CSKA Moscow is the most consistent team, with a success rate of 87.5% for getting to the Final Four. Their trophy win percentage is not as impressive though.
Maccabi Tel Aviv
Maccabi is one of the two teams in EuroLeague, which have won the title in a row. The other team is Olympiacos. However, the current performance of the team is not as impressive as it used to be.
